What is a Host Home?
A Host Home is a family or individual who opens their home to care for and support an adult with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD). Clients live in a safe, stable, family-like environment, becoming part of everyday life and the community. Some clients may also participate in day programs or community activities, depending on their individual needs.
What You’ll Do as a Host Home Provider
- Provide a safe, clean, welcoming home
- Support daily living skills (meals, hygiene, medication, transportation)
- Offer encouragement and companionship
- Include clients in family life and community activities
- Ensure consistency and stability for the individual
Full Heart Services provides:
• Placement and case management
• Training and 24/7 support
• Ongoing communication and oversight
• Monthly reimbursement distribution
Reimbursement Overview
• Typical range: $2,000 – $5,000+ per month, per client, depending on client needs and support level.
• Covers clients housing, meals, utilities, and daily support
• Tax-free reimbursement

How do I get started?
Contact FHS via call or email and lets us know you have a private bedroom available in your home and where. You can have up to two individuals per household. Our FHS team will schedule a consultation to meet with you to see if you will be a good fit as a HH provider. There will be a site inspection by FHS and background checks for anyone living at the home 12+ years and older (required). A potential client will have the opportunity to tour the home first to help them make a final decision.
